It is hard to believe that May is over and the summer is here. The school year has flown by. It is also hard to believe that Claire and Chloe are 4 months old now. There are some days I want to stop time so that we can just savor the precious moments with these babies. This week Paula had 3 day classes at the hospital so I was able to spend those days with the girls. Paula would slip in at noon to nurse them and cuddle them and I would hang out with them mornings and until about 5PM. Oh what fun I had!
The video I am including is of Chloe on the left in the beige baby seat and Claire on the right in the blue baby seat. I put a toy between them and when one of them would kick it, the music would play. I am working hard to come up with entertainment during their waking hours. Today while I was there we read a couple of books. They both seemed more interested in the pictures than in previous tries. They will be reading in no time!

A few days with the girls
The days this past week with the girls were filled with many moments of new things. Claire is babbling more and more, and Chloe is squirming and inching herself all around. Claire will make all sorts of sounds when I sing to her as if she is trying to sing. Chloe makes lots of noises but in a different way, and she is very mobile, turning over and inching herself into different positions. Claire sits up a bit more strongly than Chloe, but Claire stays pretty much where you put her when you put her down.
Papa Norm stopped by one day when I was babysitting and helped feed Chloe. I snapped this photo as they both had dozed off.
The girls have their first Bumbo chair and Claire does very well in it for a few minutes. Here is a little view of her sitting up.
Not to be outdone, here is a small video of Chloe taking in the camera. She is so curious. She can be so animated and smiley and then when the camera comes out, she just stares at it trying to contemplate what is going on.This upcoming week I will be babysitting 3 days. Now that Paula is back to work, I am dividing my time between the Library and the babies. I treasure every moment with the girls....I clearly have been given a gift...time with the babies. Mike is doing Daddy duty the nights Paula works her 12 hour shifts..7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. He is doing a great job. The first night when Chloe didn't want her bottle, he dipped the nipple into a tiny bit of banana pudding and convinced her that the bottle was good after all. The girls are so excited to see Mommy when she walks through the door in the morning, it is fun to see how they look at her with such excitement. What a blessing this little family is! To be continued.....

Creating our Blog!
Welcome to our blog!
We will attempt to share some of the highlights of our days, with our precious new granddaughters, as well as some of our other life adventures. Here we are...Papa Norm and Sharon. This picture was taken a couple of years ago, but I can't believe we look any older at all.
Claire and Chloe entered our lives on January 29, 2008 and we are forever changed! They have brought such joy to their parents as well as to the entire family. Meet the twins! Claire is on the left and Chloe is on the right.
Claire weighed in at 5# 10 oz and Chloe at 5# 2 oz.
They are now nearly 4 months old and have changed and grown tremendously.
Life could not be better!
