A New Gadget

Papa and Grandma took a little trip to Apple Hill on Monday. We bought a gadget that peels and slices apples that we saw being demonstrated. We have seen them before and didn't dream that they really worked! Who knew that Claire and Chloe would enjoy watching their apples get peeled and sliced. I think it made those apples extra tasty for them, they consumed two apples between snack and lunch. Claire was into turning the handle, Chloe was not. We had admonished them before we started that there were two very sharp parts and showed them where they were located. For the rest of the day, Claire reminded us that it was "sharp" and "we must be careful"! Chloe repeatedly would look at it up on the counter and tell us it was "sharp". Apparently "sharp" made an impression.



Wow, that must have been hard work...the girls seemed to be exhausted!

Our park time this week was fun. The first film is of the girls heading up the stairs...Chloe has her hands full, but still manges to make it up. She has now become the "gatherer" of the two...acorns and sometimes sticks. The next film is of Claire wanting Grandma and Papa to watch her carefully come down the stairs. The final film is of the girls running and playing which they do endlessly, until Chloe spots a dog. When we arrived home after this park visit, Chloe immediately went to the kitchen and wanted to "make apples."
