Hawaii Time!

The long awaited family trip to Kauai, Hawaii has arrived. The children were up early and we actually met a 6 AM shuttle to the airport!

Overall the flights went well, if you don't count the unexpected incident with a young woman passenger. It all turned out fine but was a bit unnerving, at least for me. I'm not the best 'flyer' anyway so anything unexpected isn't what I want 30,000 feet over the Pacific.

Our first morning in Kauai, Paula, Mike, and the three C's went out for an very early morning walk (the kids were still on California time). All three of them were drenched when they returned as you can see from the picture of Chloe and Claire below. Actually, that was Chloe's 2nd sundress because Mike had brought her back once before and she had changed from her first wet dress. :) Those sneaker waves will do it every time!

Breakfast on the lanai with Papa!

On to feeding the koi.....this picture was taken an instant before Chris turned over his container and dumped all of his fish food into the water.

Swimming and more swimming....from pool to pool to surf....having so much fun with cousin Richard.

Chris joins the fun after a nap....

Now for our first pineapple...great anticipation....Papa is the expert cutter of pineapple...

Sweet little face....with a little color on it from the sun...

Two sun kissed, tired, girls watching a cartoon in Papa and Grandma's room while they wait for dinner... Please note Claire's new tatoo of a plumeria, she was quite proud of it!

One of the beautiful sights of the day.....

So thankful and happy to be spending some time in this place so special to our family!
